Our bag MATERIALS are from North America

Polyethylene ( PE ) :

• Polyolefin processed from the petroleum by-product ethylene
• Recyclable
• The lowest cost of all flexible films
• Available in clear and colors
• Available in a wide range of thicknesses from ultra thin .0003” (0.3 mil) to ultra thick .0100” (10 mils)
• Extruded as a monolayer or as a coextrusion up to 9 layers
• High performance polyethylenes ie: Metallocenes and Hexenes have exceptional tensile strength and puncture resistance
• Informally referred to as “poly”
• “LDPE” low density polyethylene, “MDPE” medium density polyethylene, “HDPE” high density polyethylene

Bi-axially Oriented Poly Propylene ( BOPP ) :

• Polyolefin processed from the petroleum by-product propylene
• Recyclable
• Among the lowest cost of all flexible films
• Excellent clarity and surface sparkle
• Improved stiffness, tensile strength and moisture barrier properties
• Further improvement ins barrier properties against moisture, oxygen, oil , aromas when coated with Acrylic and/or Polyvinylidene Chloride ( PvDC )
• Available in thicknesses from .0008” ( 8/10ths of mil ) to .0020” ( 2 mils )
• Often mistakenly referred to as “cello” or “cellophane”

Cellophane :

• The true “cello” film that is not a petroleum by-product
• Made from natural “cellulose” found in trees, cotton, hemp
• Biodegradeable
• Clarity and sparkle similar to BOPP
• Noted for its exceptional rigidity and toughness
• The highest cost among the three packaging films mentioned on this website
• After many years of declining sales, in recent years has enjoyed greater demand growth due to eco-friendly considerations
